2012 Aerial Imaging Project Partner (Midwest USA)

Dear Group

I am currently looking for any parties located in the Midwest who would be interested in working together on a small UAV imaging project.

I have a functional UAV which I need to test on real world applications. Due to FAA regulations the use of UAVs for commercial purposes is not permitted so any work would be undertaken as a research project with no monies changing hands. My interest is to test my system and to develop relationships that can become commercial if and when the FAA policies allow for commercial use.

So if there is anyone in the group that thinks that they have a problem that can benefit from free aerial imagery and would like to get a first hands look at the possible benefits that small UAVs can bring to precision ag please contact me.

Yours Sincerely

Rory Paul

I've seen these craft before but never the imagery laid out so i would be interested for spots next year in Michigan if that is a possibiltiy.

Rory,

I definitely have some interest in this. I work as the Extension Precision Ag Specialist for Clemson University in South Carolina so I don't know if this poses a problem or not. If you send me an email to whende2@clemson.edu I can explain to you what I am trying to work on with UAV's.

Thanks,

Will

Rory,

Also interested in receiving more information about your goals and objectives.  I'm and instructor of Precision Agriculture at Ridgewater College in Willmar , Minnesota.  If you could please email Justin.Remus@ridgewater.edu with further information.

Thank you

I work with a grower who has expressed interest in getting into this field. He is a farmer & semi-pro photographer. If you are interested in doing any work in north-central Ohio, let me know.

Rory,

Just like Justin, I teach Precision Ag at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. We are just starting a 2 year Precision Ag degree program and what you are proposing would be a good fit into that program, research with hands-on applications. I would like to visit with you more about this and can contact me at (319) 239-6089 or kevin.butt@iavalley.edu.

Thanks!

Kevin
