NW Missouri Regional Precision Technician – Reports to Precision Agronomy Manager of MFA Incorporated

To sell the philosophy behind MFA’s precision agriculture program by providing top-notch service and support in order to provide our customers with accurate and timely, equipment and fee-based services to increase farm production and profitability. Their responsibilities will include scheduling and prioritization for servicing retail/producer accounts in assigned region, implement the corporate precision agronomy training program to keep our retail locations and affiliates up-to-date on the latest precision agronomy technology, understand how to solve a customer’s technical issues and make sure they are satisfied with our products and support, provide guidance to retail and affiliates on service charges for precision agronomy services, and provide guidance to producers on how their equipment can benefit them and their operation.

The primary geography is focused in Northwest Missouri. The trade territory ranges from North of US-36 and West of Hwy 63 in Missouri.

Qualifications for NW Regional Technician

  • At least an A.S. degree in agronomy or agricultural (B.S. preferred).
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years work experience in mechanical/electrical, precision agronomy consulting, or computer equipment.
  • Must be proficient with installation, operation, and support of yield monitors, controllers, guidance systems and Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
  • Excellent PC skills, including computer hardware, Windows operating software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required for dealing with the public and private sector.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be organized, detail and goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to travel (day and some overnight) and work weekends in the busy seasons of spring and fall.
  • Farming, mechanical and/or computer background helpful.
