Retail Precision Agronomy Specialist – Reports to Manager of AgriServices of Bernie - Bernie, MO

Increase the sale of plant foods, crop protection products and related services through the promotion of precision farming to producers while demonstrating that the economic and environmental returns are worth the investments for the farmer and the local Agri-Services locations. Maintain current knowledge on producers’ wants and needs in order to help the precision program position their products for the following year. Cultivate relationships with outside organizations to help train and educate the public about precision farming.

The primary geography of this sales territories focus in the Bernie, MO area and will cover approximately a 30-40 mile radius. We are looking for someone that is knowledgeable in precision crop scouting, GIS management, soil fertility, with solid agronomy skills and can relate/guide producers with management practices in row crops.

Qualifications for Retail Precision Positions

• B.S. degree in Agronomy or related agriculture field, or equivalent experience required
• Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification preferred but not necessary
• Experience in sales and crop advising required
• Excellent PC skills, including Windows operating software, Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communications skills required (public speaking and newsletter writing)
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required
• Agriculture background required
• Must be organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
• Must be able to work Saturdays and overtime during busy season
• Any other equivalent combination of training and experience
